With 25 years of experience in all facets of real estate investment, Yves has acquired extensive knowledge in all matters related to real estate investments and financing, and has been involved in a vast array of property ventures and real estate markets across the Globe. Yves has established a notable reputation working with senior real estate executives in developing and implementing successful long term value creation strategies for several major real estate asset owners. He is predominantly known for his strategic insights into complex business undertakings and has been involved in the successful completion of several major transactions and turn-a-rounds over the last several years. He has been active in the United States, South American, Asian, Indian and European real estate markets, which has allowed him to explore a different dimension to the common North American perspective of strategic property development.
Yves’s key area of expertise is in strategic asset management. In this capacity, he has assisted several real estate investors and their senior management teams into rethinking their strategy and creating innovative methods of approaching their real estate investments. Yves has extensive experience and insight into working with all members of an asset management team, including senior executives, managers, as well as other interior and exterior consultants and professionals.
Over the course of his career, Yves has held senior positions related to all areas of real estate asset management, including financing and acquisitions/dispositions, with some of the most recognized names in the property investment industry: PSP Investments (The Public Sector Pension Investment Board), Cadim (a wholly owned subsidiary of the Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec), GE Capital, Standard Life, MetLife, Equidev/Coopdev Group and Marcil Trust to name a few.
Yves is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, with degrees in both Finance and Accounting, and he is a recognized CPA. He is also a licensed Commercial Real Estate Broker.
